CHARLES DARWIN, The Atlantic Project, Plymouth, 2018

The German-English collaboration of Kranemann-Emmett seeks to infect the familiar with an experience of a world beyond the familiar. Kranemann-Emmett look to the precarious forces within evolution, mutating the ordinary to otherness. The projects are ongoing artwork-events evolving hybrid constructs through new media, film, performance and electronic soundscapes and are sited within architectural anomalies.

CHARLES DARWIN was performed at the abandoned Millennium Building, originally opened in 1931 as the Gaumont Palace cinema, and later became the The Warehouse nightclub.

Tom Trevor, Artistic Director

The recorded performance was later shown at Volsbühne, Berlin – (Ultraschall) Festival für neue Musik, January 2019.
